The Green Festival

Event Detail

WHAT: Green Festival, the world’ largest and most authentic green and sustainable living event, will celebrate a SECOND year in Chicago on May 17th and 18th, 2008 at Navy Pier. The event will bring together more than 150 speakers, 350 local and national green businesses, dozens of community groups and an anticipated audience of more than 30,000.
For two days, festival goers are invited to enjoy visionary authors, leaders and educators; how-to workshops; delicious organic cuisine and planet-friendly-fun for the entire family.  Attendees will explore what’s next on the horizon for renewable energy, socially responsible investing, eco-fashions, eco-tourism, green building, green parenting and more.  Area residents will have the opportunity to check out what local groups are doing to build cultural bridges to a healthier planet, with access to speak with over 30 local organizations and community action groups.
