Hugo's Frog Bar & Fish House   

After years of searching far and wide for a location to follow-up the highly successful Gibsons Steakhouse, owners Hugo Ralli and Steve Lombardo found what they were looking for right under their noses. In February of 1997 they launched a seafood companion to the legendary Gibsons and named it Hugo's Frog Bar and Fish House. Hugo's adheres to the same principles as its predecessor: huge portions, unbeatable value and quality and highly accommodating service. They also have a pianist the the bar nightly after 5.

In September of 2004 Hugo’s Frog Bar & Fish House has leaped into the heart of Naperville. Serving up the same great experience in the Western suburbs. Continuing the same Chicago style in Naperville, Hugo’s is open for lunch and dinner, and features a beautiful private dining room for all of your special events. Contrary to popular belief, the name is not derived from the tasty little amphibian vestiges for which the restaurant has become famous. It is actually named for Hugo Ralli's grandfather, General Bruce “Frog” of her majesties imperial forces. His portrait keeps watchful eye over the ever active bar that is packed with business people, Gold Coast locals, Lincoln Park hipsters and fun seeking out-of-towners listening to the hopping piano music every night of the week. The Frog Bar is always “hopping” whether you are in Chicago or Downtown Naperville.

The bar is a great attraction, but Hugo's is about seafood. Its seafood is often considered the best in Chicago and Naperville due to the quality of its Chef's preparation and the freshness. Hugo's receives its fish daily, often in two or three separate deliveries per day. And if it's not sold that night, it's not sold at all!
